Children and families coming from experiences of war and forced migration, often cope with traumatic past experiences while facing the challenges of settlement in their new home.



Turtle House provided a welcoming and inclusive environment for Newcomer/refugee families from different ethno-racial, cultural, language and faith backgrounds. Through art, conversation, and shared meals, parents and children were able to connect with each other, build relationships with other families and with Turtle House artists and volunteers.

Turtle House Art/Play Centre is currently in the process of dissolving our organization. We welcome general donations through Canada Helps which would enable us to cover the final expenses related to dissolution.
